Simplifying the end of year rush - you don't have to do it all!

Is your end-of-year ‘to-do’ list starting to feel overwhelming? Is your calendar packed leading up to Christmas, with little room to breathe? You’re not alone!

From past experience, I’ve learned that racing to the finish line on Christmas Eve isn't the best approach. Waking up exhausted, overwhelmed, and unprepared on Christmas Day isn’t how you want to start a relaxing day of memory-making with loved ones.

So, let’s shift gears and make the end of the year a little easier.

New Rule: YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO IT ALL YOURSELF!

Grab your list and break it down into three categories:

Non-negotiable: What has to be done?

Feels good: What would be nice to get done, but isn’t crucial?

Negotiable: What could wait until after the holidays?

Once you’ve assessed your list, ask yourself: What can I delegate? Who can I ask for help? Take the pressure off and make this month as easy as possible for yourself.

One of the ways I choose ease is by sticking to meal planning. I also love picking a few new ‘take a plate’ recipes for salads and treats, making sure I have everything ready to go. That way, I know I’m prepared without adding last-minute stress.

About Charlotte: I specialise in helping ambitious rural women create sustainable lifestyles by learning to put themselves first so they can leave the overwhelm and fatigue behind and create an empowered and fulfilling life to call their own, alongside family and farm.
